Oooo Lowell, Lowell…I’m not sure if I want to kiss him or slap him. Don’t get me wrong this whole book was a journey that I recommend everyone to read. I’m not a big fan of a surprise baby trope but here it just worked.
Hollis needed something to change her life and meeting Lowell did just that in more ways than one.
She is left with a baby and they work really well together until they don’t. I get all the fear and not wanting to end up hurt, I truly do but my heart broke in that hospital scene. And the way she handled that situation, Hollis is for sure my favorite character. She was strong despite the year she had and didn’t give up where she easily could. I love the fact that he got his ass handed to him by his idol and most of all that he listened and took the leap into the unknown where he knew she would catch him.
The series keeps going strong and I am getting excited for the next book because we’re given so many clues throughout this one that I can tell it’s going to be a great one.
